Commercials

So I find it cute that Munchkin now loves the Clearly Contacts commercial with Trevor Linden in it.

Click here to view if you haven't seen it

Why I find this cute is he is one of my top 3 favourite/good looking guys plus my favourite hockey player. Guess Munchkin has more of my genes then I thought. Wonder if you can fit Linden on the back of an infant size jersey?

Shots

I hate when our little Monkey has to go for his shots. There he is doing so good waiting to see the doctor, entertaining the people in the waiting room and overall doing great even thought it's getting dangerously close to nap time. Then you get weighted, measured, checked out, etc and everything is hunky dorie! But it's the look they give you of knowing that something is going to happen...

"Hrm something's not right here mom."

"I don't like the way you're holding me."

"Why is the doctor getting so close."

"Why are you saying everything is going to be okay?"

"Why...OMG WHAT IS THAT...AAAHHH WAAAAAAH WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME!!! MOOOOM!!!"

"*sobbing, crying, screaming*"

Then as quick as it started it's over and he's back to himself but I'll getting over the whole ordeal of watching him go through it all. Thank goodness our next set don't happen until he's 1 year old!

Light At The End

So I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel which is the cold our little Monkey has been suffering through. I thought it was bad getting sick while pregnant or breastfeeding as you can't take anything but seeing our little guy go through it not being able to clear out his nose is 10 times worse. Add a hacking cough, lack of eating and sleeping and you've got one poor little boy and one worried mommy. But with the help of a nasal aspirator, cool mist humidifier and towel under the mattress we've worked our way through the worst of it it seems.

Now we're learning to be on the move! Looks like we'd better start breaking out the outlet covers soon!

The Epic Nap

I couldn't believe it. Yesterday our little monkey went upstairs for a nap at 10:10 and didn't wake up until 2:30! Yes that's right an almost 4 hour nap! I think I must have check in on him 2-3 times just to make sure he was still breathing. Here's what I found one time though.

Some kids sniff glue...mine sniffs blanket.
