So first of all Hubby and I are very very excited because we finally have our living room back (well it's 75% there).
This was Hubby's project over the last few days. Wrangle up all the books in the house and put them back on the bookshelf (by subject of course). Now that we have a bookshelf in the office as well we can put all our text books in the office which made for more free space on these shelves. However we came to the realization that we have too many books.
But that's okay. This is what you get when 2 avid readers move in together!
Also it's been a busy weekend for us. We had a few birthday parties and hockey games to attend. Friday was the Vancouver Giants vs Everrett Silvertips. The boys put on a good show and it was nice to see such a large crowd come out to Langley for the game. They usually play in Vancouver but have been kicked out of their venue due to the Olympics.
The other event was this:
These women are amazing and quite the skaters. I couldn't believe how fast they could skate down the ice. In the end Russia won 4 to 0 to Slovakia but no one really seemed to mind, everyone was just cheering no matter who scored. We were sort of sitting in the Slovakia section though and it was interesting to hear their chants. No one around us knew what the heck they were chanting so we started making an English equivalent which was something like "Go lets go. Go for the Gold" I highly doubt that's what they were trying to say in Check but it's what it sounded like and still sounded good to the people sitting around me. If this game though is the preview of what's to come in Olympic hockey though, it looks like that will be a great sport to watch! Go Canada Go!
